Tucker designer Gaby Basora had music on the mind when working on her Spring collection. But unlike most designers—for whom music translates into leather jackets, ripped T-shirts, and tight jeans—Basora was feeling a different rhythm. It had a lot to do with the book she was reading, David Hajdu'sPositively 4th Street, a biography about Bob Dylan and the Baez sisters. "It feels a little edgier and urban than the folkloric legend in the book," Basora said. "But ultimately you think of those girls and their boldness."

Indeed, you could imagine Joan soulfully strumming her guitar in any one of the label's new prints (which were more vibrant than usual), from the knee-length shift dresses to the floor-skimming skirts. Orange gingham pieces, meanwhile, could've stepped off the stage at Woodstock. The standout pieces, though, were a pair of high-waisted striped trousers that recalled rock legend Mick Jagger and a silver cotton Lurex pantsuit that brought to mind the famous white one worn by Bianca. Despite crossing between musical genres here and there, we'd still say this collection was a hit.
